Details of the weddings

Please respond using the form at the end of the page to confirm your attendance.

We kindly ask you not to take photos or videos during the ceremony and to leave this to our photographers.
Thank you for your understanding.

Dress code

Formal and elegant. For our ceremony, we recommend formal attire. Men can opt for an elegant suit, either dark or brown, and women can opt for a comfortable dress or elegant outfit.

Suggested colors

Black, brown, green, pastel. Please, avoid light colors like white. If you want to match your accessories, here is the color palette we’ll be using for the wedding.

Ceremony location

It will be outdoors, so a temperature of around 25°C is expected. It might also rain, so you might want to bring an umbrella.

Additional tips

  • Paying the remaining amount for the accommodation is possible only in cash and in Czech crowns!
  • Withdraw your money in České Budějovice in advance. There are no ATMs in the villages!
  • We suggest that you bring comfortable shoes to change into later on.

When will the wedding take place?

The ceremony will take place on June 28, 2025, at 16:00. If you’re traveling from a larger distance, we recommend arriving at your accommodation in Dehtáře, Břehov, Češnovice, or České Budějovice on Friday, as we’d like to have a small gathering beforehand.

Where will the wedding take place and how to get there?

The ceremony will take place at St. Andrew’s Church in Kuklov, South Bohemia. The party will follow at Hostinec U Žabáka in Žabovřesky. We have arranged a shuttle bus that will transport you from either České Budějovice or the apartments in Dehtáře, or Češnovice to the ceremony, to the party, and then back. We highly advise against driving and recommend using the shuttle bus instead.

How about the accommodation?

If you need accommodation, we highly recommend these farmhousesYou can also book a hotel of your choice in České Budějovice. Please note that all the apartments in Dehtáře (Stay I) are already fully booked. Please book in Stay II or a hotel.

The shuttle bus will regularly run between the party venue, the farm houses and the city several times throughout the night.

Please remember that if you’re staying in one of the farmhouse in Dehtáře. Even though the apartments have a kitchenette, we strongly recommend eating in the city of České Budějovice before your arrival. If you’re staying in Češnovice, there are two restaurants, one of which is located in the same place where you’ll be staying. Also, please note that you won’t be able to withdraw cash once you leave the city.

Getting to České Budějovice from Switzerland:

There are trains to České Budějovice departing from Zürich with a transfer in Linz every day. The most convenient one seems to be the train departing from Zürich at 6:40, with a 20-minute transfer in Linz, arriving in České Budějovice at 15:56. From my experience, if you buy the ticket through ÖBB instead of SBB, you can save some francs. Book the ticket in advance to get a saver ticket, which costs between 50 and 60 francs. The regular price is 50% higher. If you happen to miss the train from Linz to České Budějovice, there is no need to worry—there are other direct trains departing from Linz at 17:35 and 18:54.

There are also direct buses between Bern and Prague departing every evening. You can check the schedule here.

Last but not least, there are affordable flights from Basel to Prague operated by EasyJet.

Getting to České Budějovice from Prague:

If you’re traveling by plane, you’ll likely arrive in Prague. From there, you need to get to České Budějovice, and you have two main options: train or bus. If you prefer the train, you must depart from Prague’s Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží Metro station on the red line, C). You can check the schedule and buy tickets online here, or you can purchase them at the station. If you’d rather take the bus, I recommend using this company. Tickets must be purchased in advance online, and buses depart from the Na Knížecí bus station (Anděl Metro station on the yellow line, B). The buses are easy to spot, as they’re all yellow.

Getting to Dehtáře from České Budějovice:

Getting to Dehtáře can be a bit tricky. You can take a bus from the main bus station in České Budějovice. The bus station is located on the roof of the Mercury Mall. On Friday, direct buses depart from the platform 17 at the following times: 5:45, 12:05, 15:05, and 17:00. Please bear in mind that there are no buses during the weekend! You must buy your ticket directly from the bus driver, but be sure to have change ready (maximum 50 crowns). Your other option is to take a taxi, which should cost around 500 Czech Crowns. I recommend using Bolt (Uber-like app). Alternatively, you can try calling www.risataxi.cz. But please note that they may not speak English. Unfortunately, there are no buses going to the town on Sunday. We will arrange some way of transportation for you.

Bear in mind that paying the remaining amount for the accommodation is possible only in cash and in Czech crowns! Withdraw your money in České Budějovice in advance. There are no ATMs in the village! There are no restaurants or grocery stores either!

Getting to Češnovice from České Budějovice:

You can take a bus from the main bus station in České Budějovice. The bus station is located on the roof of the Mercury Mall. On Friday, direct buses depart from the platform 22 at the following times: 11:30, 12:00, 15:10, 16:10, and 17:00. And from the platform 24 at the following times: 12:05, 13:10, 13:45, 14:22, 14:55, 16:30, 17:45, 18:40, and 20:25.

Some practical information about getting around in Prague:

  • You can take a direct bus from Prague Airport to the main railway station. This service is called the AE (Airport Express). You can buy the ticket from the bus driver or at an information center. It costs 100 CZK, and you can pay by card

  • You can also order an Uber to get to the city center. You can use a self-service Uber kiosk to order and pay for your ride

  • Other means of transportation can be found here

  • In the Czech Republic, you can use Uber, and another popular app is Bolt, which I highly recommend downloading
  • If you take a traditional taxi, you will need to pay in cash, specifically in Czech Crowns. However, whenever possible, it’s best to use Bolt or Uber. Personally, I wouldn’t advise you not to take a standard taxi, as they tend to scam tourists

      Gift Registry

      Dear friends and family,

Instead of gifts, we would prefer contributions toward our honeymoon. If you would like to help us, an envelope with any amount of money in any currency would be gratefully accepted.

      Thank you for your generosity!

      FAQ

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

We would be really thankful if you could fill in the form as soon as possible. It will help us greatly to organize all the stuff.

We like kiddos, however to allow all of our guests, including those that are parents an opportunity to enjoy an evening of relaxation, we respectfully advise that the ceremony and the reception are for adults only, if possible.

Please arrive to the ceremony at 15:30.

Please don’t arrive earlier than 15:30, as another wedding will be taking place at 14:00.
